Film news: Disney reveals ‘The Simpsons Movie’ sequel in place of untitled Marvel flick

Disney has shocked the comic book world by revealing that the brand new Simpsons Movie sequel has replaced an untitled superhero film set for release in July 2027.

Replacing an untitled Marvel film has upset some fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who were looking forward to the packed bill of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027, joined by an unnamed project in between.
