DCU news: Is Wonder Woman joining ‘Superman’ sequel ‘Man of Tomorrow’?
James Gunn’s sophomore Superman film is looking to cast an actress in their 20s in a major role.
David Corenswet is back in the Superman sweats, potentially with some help direct from Themyscira’s Wonder Woman.
Film News Blitz’s RC Stacey is here to fuel the rumour-mill.
Will Wonder Woman be in ‘Man of Tomorrow’?
While the hunt is on for an actor to play the villain Brainiac, who is set to make his long-awaited live-action debut, a rumour suggests a founding member of the Justice League is about to join the DC Universe.
Amazonian warrior Diana Prince was last seen in live action, portrayed by Gal Gadot in Zack Snyder’s ill-fated ‘Snyderverse’/DC Extended Universe.
Sources speaking to Nexus Point News suggest DC Studios is actively seeking an actress in her late twenties for a "major role".
The casting call describes the character as a warrior with a strong physique, with a height requirement favouring taller actresses.
It’s Film News Blitz's opinion that the DCU, under the guidance of Peter Safran and Gunn, appear to be bringing the Justice Gang closer to their ultimate League form.
If this casting call confirms Wonder Woman, her introduction in Man of Tomorrow would immediately set the stage for her previously announced solo DCU projects: a Wonder Woman film, which Gunn has stated is being fast-tracked with Supergirl's Ana Nogueira writing the script, and the prequel series, Paradise Lost, focusing on her homeworld of Themyscira.
The franchise starting Superman (2025) grossed $616.7 million at the worldwide box office and received a strong audience review of 3.9/5 on Letterboxd, so the inevitable sequel was announced some months ago.

Man of Tomorrow will see Corenswet’s Superman and Nicholas Hoult’s first film villain, Lex Luthor, forced into an uneasy alliance to combat the extra-terrestrial threat of Brainiac.
The film is set to begin principal photography in Atlanta in April and is slated for a July 9, 2027, release.
Does this casting call give credence to the introduction of Diana Prince and suggest additional attrition to fight the new alien threat?
